Papers [manuscript]. 1936-1990.

The papers cover Garnsey's career in the Church and in education from the time of his return from Oxford in 1938 to his retirement. They document his work as Headmaster of the Canberra Grammar School, Bishop of Gippsland, and his involvement with the Australian Student Christian Movement, the ecumenical movement, the Australian Council of Churches and the Australian College of Theology. The papers include family and official correspondence, sermons and addresses, and booklets Garnsey wrote in the 1930s and 1940s. There is also a large amount of research material gathered while writing the biography of his father, Cannon Arthur Garnsey, 1872-1944.
